Background
Born in and raised in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, where people of different background as well as indigenous people Ainu live in. Moved to Tokyo to study at Musashino Art University. After graduated, worked at some companies mainly in charge of developing database and information processing. Acquired the national license of interpreter-guide in English in 2002. Served as vice president of Japan Guide Association (JGA) from 2016 to 2022, and have served as a director of Akihabara Tourism Promotion Association since 2011.
Specialties and Hobbies
- Interested in comparative culture, studying history, tradition and life of people behind.
- Conducted workshops for tourist guides to study Japanese traditional and modern culture, such as religions, traditional theatrical arts, fine art, bonsai, Japanese sword, pop culture, Japanese landscape garden, tea ceremony, so on.
- Sommelier of Sake and Shochu.
- Study spiritual side of cultures.
