Our Journey:

  • Founded in 2011 by Taro Okano and Koichiro Akahori, whose diverse backgrounds shaped our approach: Taro’s supply chain management consulting at Accenture instills operational efficiency and meticulous tour design, while Koichiro’s airline experience and MBA background ensure service excellence and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Launched a membership-based information sharing service for professional licensed guides in 2012, supporting the provision of high-value guiding.
  • In 2014, we unveiled our own brand, Tokyowalkingtours, specializing in small-group private tours in Tokyo. This unique service set us apart from the competition, allowing us to focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • By 2016, we had expanded our services to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Nara. Our unwavering commitment to excellence has earned us consistent praise, including a top-10 ranking on TripAdvisor for Tokyo tours.
