What's the latest I can book a tour?
Please book your tour at least two days in advance, by 5:00 p.m.
Do you help arrange flights, hotels, or restaurant reservations?
No, we specialize in providing walking tours in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima, and other exciting locations.
Will other people join my tour?
No, our tours are completely private and designed for you and your group.
What's the maximum group size for a tour?
We can accommodate up to six people per tour group. For groups exceeding six, an additional person can be added for an extra cost. If your group has more than 10 people, we recommend adding another guide for a more comfortable experience. The price would then be double the tour price.
How do I cancel a tour? Are there fees?
Please email us to cancel. Cancellation fees may apply:

- 6+ days before the tour: 10% of the tour fare
- 3-5 days before the tour: 20% of the tour fare
- 2 days before the tour: 50% of the tour fare
- The day before or day of the tour: 100% of the tour fare
Do you ever cancel tours?
Very rarely, but tours may be canceled due to severe weather (like a typhoon or a snowstorm) or guide illness. You'll receive a full refund if we need to cancel.
I'm on a transit at the airport. Can you pick me up at the airport and drop me off at the airport after the tour?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pick-ups or drop-offs directly at the airport. This is because airport logistics and potential delays can impact the start and end times of our tours, which are designed for guests staying in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and other central locations. We recommend using public transportation or taxis to get from the airport to your hotel and vice versa.

Do tour fees include transportation and site admission?
No, but we'll help you choose the most affordable public transportation options that local people use. Each tour description includes an estimate of those additional costs.
Will you provide meals or drinks?
No, however, your guide will be happy to recommend great, reasonably priced restaurants for a lunch break or snack stop during your tour.
Can I pay in cash?
Payment is only accepted via credit card or PayPal in advance.
Do I need to pay for the guide's expenses during the tour?
No, the guide will cover their own transportation, admission, and food/drinks while on tour.
About Your Tour
Will the tour be all walking? I don't think I can walk that much.
Our tours are designed to offer an immersive experience of Tokyo's vibrant neighborhoods and hidden gems. While we do explore many areas on foot to get a closer look at the local culture and attractions, we utilize the convenient subway system to cover longer distances between destinations.
Where will my tour start and end?
To ensure a smooth start, we'll meet you at your hotel unless it's too far from the first destination. If you prefer a different meeting location, please let us know!
How will I find my guide?
- Guide Profile: We'll provide you with a link to your guide's profile, which includes their picture. This will help you recognize them easily at the meeting point.
- Finding You: Your guide will do their best to spot you first. They'll be familiar with your group size and general appearance.
- Contact Information: You'll have the guide's cell phone number for easy communication if needed.
Can I request a taxi instead of public transportation?
Absolutely! Your guide will be happy to help you arrange taxis throughout the tour (at your expense). Taxis are a convenient and comfortable way to travel in Japan.
Can I change some of the destinations included in the tour?
Yes! We want to make your tour experience perfect. Your guide will do their best to accommodate your requests within the tour timeframe. Feel free to discuss your preferences with your guide on the day of the tour. If you have specific requests in advance, let us know, and we'll pass those along to your guide.
